When it comes to celebrating the festive season on the Gold Coast, there is no where more luxurious than Palazzo Versace.

The 5-star property will be closing out 2020 in style, with Palazzo Versace Gold Coast Marketing and Communications Manager Frances Scarle telling myGC they will be hosting an array of exclusive experiences.

“We have live performances each week for guests and the local community to come and enjoy,” she said.

“We’ve got a divine Christmas dining collection available – luscious trimmings, festive favourites and beautiful Christmas cocktails.”

The celebrations will continue right through to 2021, with some exquisite New Year’s Eve offerings.

“We have an Italian affair at Il Barocco, we have Krug and caviar at Vanitas, and we have a water salon soiree with a pyrotechnic spectacle which is going to be absolutely amazing,” said Ms Scarle.

Palazzo Versace is also celebrating the spirit of giving this Christmas, releasing a limited edition teddy bear to help raise much needed funds for Act for Kids.

Sporting a red bow tie emblazoned with Palazzo Versace branding, the charming and plush fundraising ambassadors have been affectionately named ‘Preston, the Palazzo Versace bear’.

600 of the bears feature on the hotel’s spectacular six-metre high Christmas tree in the lobby area, which took 12 staff members over 100 hours to assemble.

The bears are available for purchase by guests and visitors at the hotel, with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to Act for Kids.

Dr Katrina Lines, Act for Kids Chief Executive Officer, said they are extremely humbled to have this incredible partnership with Palazzo Versace this Christmas.

“Sadly, the demand for helping abused and neglected children continues to increase, which is why it is essential we can keep doing what we do best and that’s help the most vulnerable people in our community,” she said.

“Proceeds raised from this initiative at Palazzo Versace will enable us to offer our integrated therapy services to more children, not only on the Gold Coast but right across the country.”

In addition to ‘Preston, the Palazzo Versace bear’, Ms Scarle said the hotel’s pop up boutique is also full of festive delights.

“Beautiful handmade Christmas houses, fruit cake, fruit mince pies, chocolate, everything you could want and much, much more.”
