Get ready to jump and jive because Australia’s favourite celebration of 50s and 60s nostalgia, Cooly Rocks On, will roll into Coolangatta and Tweed Heads next week.

There is something for everyone to enjoy at this year’s festival, with around 1,300 classic cars and hot rods on show, the Miss Cooly Rocks On and Miss Rockabilly pageants, bargain shopping at the retro markets, and the much-loved Cooly Rocks On Street Parade to make a return .

This year Cooly Rocks On will take music to the streets and parks, with free rock’n’roll and rockabilly bands, artists and buskers performing on outdoor stages throughout the Festival precinct.

A number of brand new free events have also been added to the mix this year, with fireworks for the kids, drive-in movies under the stars at Jack Evans Boat Harbour, pinball competitions, skydiving displays and a giant 20 x 10 metre skating rink, erected right alongside the boat harbour.
