With The Star Gold Coast’s six-star tower reaching its highest point, the focus has now turned to the fitout of the luxury development.
The Star Entertainment Group’s Managing Director Queensland Geoff Hogg told myGC the finishing touches are starting to be made. “We are no longer building the tower up – it is now at it’s full height of 17 storeys,” he said. “We are primarily now focusing on the internal fit out of the new luxury hotel.”
Mr Hogg said the six-star hotel will feature more than 50 suites, ranging in size from from 68 to 300 square metres. “The rooms will be very luxurious with their fixtures and fittings. But it’s the personal service that our staff will give all the people staying in the [six-star] hotel that will really make it a memorable experience.”

Mr Hogg told myGC the signature piece of the new six-star tower will be the rooftop bar, restaurant and pool area. “There is a rooftop infinity pool that hangs five metres beyond the side of the tower. We will also be opening up a new restaurant and bar that will most certainly be a destination everyone would love to visit at The Star Gold Coast.”
The world-class tower will also include an array of new bars and restaurants and private gaming rooms for hotel guests to enjoy.
The six-star tower forms part of The Star Gold Coast’s current transformation which includes the refurbishment of the property’s existing facilities ahead of the 2018 Commonwealth Games. There are also plans for an additional hotel and apartment tower as part of a joint venture with Hong Kong-based partners Chow Tai Fook and Far East Consortium.
