WATCH: Former Gold Coast SUNS player heading into Big Brother house

After weeks of rumours, it’s finally been confirmed that former Gold Coast Suns player Daniel Gorringe is heading into the Big Brother house.

Channel 7 revealed the 27-year-old, who also played for Carlton, will make his return to TV screens on the new series of the reality show in June.

In a clip posted on the Big Brother Australia Facebook page overnight, the now-influencer admits he wasn’t the best footy player.

“The thing about footy is you gotta be able to get the ball and I just couldn’t get the ball, so I got sacked” he says in the video.

“I didn’t really believe I could play footy but for some weird reason I believe I can win this.”

Gorringe will battle 19 other housemates aged between 19 and 62, in a bid to take home the $250,000 prize money.

Fans first began speculating Gorringe was a housemate after he was mysteriously absent from his normally active social media accounts between February and April, which is when the show was filmed.
