WATCH: Gold Coast musician attacked outside Nobby Beach bar

A musician has been headbutted and punched outside a Nobby Beach bar after he declined to play a requested song.

The 35-year-old man exited the bar on Gold Coast Highway around 10.45pm on February 13, when he was approached by two men.

CCTV footage released shows the two men shouting in the musician’s face before one of the men headbutts him, and the other punches him in the face.

Police say the men were yelling at the musician saying he should have played the song they asked for.

He suffered facial bruising and swelling.

Police are urging anyone who knows anything about the assault to come forward as investigations continue.
