News helicopters filmed the incredible rescue as emergency crews were carefully lowered down the side of the cliff to reach the teen who lay trapped and injured in a tight, rocky space.
She was assessed and stabilised before being placed onto a spinal board which was used to keep her afloat as rescuers swam her out to an awaiting surf rescue boat.
