Hundreds of Gold Coast women (and a few token men) gathered at the Arts Centre Gold Coast on Wednesday to celebrate International Women’s Day 2017.
The day kicked off with the Youth Leadership Breakfast, Forum and Award Presentation, where more than 80 female high school students were recognised for their achievements.
The youth leaders were also treated to an inspiring and uplifting speech by Australian Ironwoman Courtney Hancock, who shared her struggles of being a successful female athlete in a typically male dominated sport.

The achievements of Gold Coast women in business and the community were then recognised at the Leadership Award Presentation Lunch. More than 40 local women were nominated for this year’s awards, with the following women taking out the top prizes:
