Co-Artistic Director of Shock Therapy Productions, Sam Foster told myGC he was thrilled to be back in the theatre and is looking forward to performing for a live audience.
“This is what we do and what we love. For people to be able to be at the point where it is safe enough to come out and see a show – I think it is good for everyone,” he said.
Saturday’s performance will also be livestreamed to selected schools in Mumbai, India.
The organisation shifted to livestreaming their performances during the pandemic, after a number of their booked events and school programs were cancelled.
“Like a lot of organisations we were up against it and we said what can we do? So this idea of putting things online came to our attention, and we thought it was a great opportunity to still perform. It provided a service to schools and teachers, but also allowed our audiences to watch our stuff from the comfort of their home.”
Shock Therapy Productions livestream performance of Viral will take place at HOTA on Saturday 25 July. For more information, visit: shocktherapyproductions.com.au/viral
