Detectives investigating the suspicious death of a 20-month-old girl in the NSW Hunter region have today taken a man into custody.
The 26-year-old was arrested at a home at Tanilba Bay about 8.30am.
It comes after emergency crews were called to a house at Tarro about 5.30pm on 19 June, following reports a toddler was in cardiac arrest.

The child was rushed to John Hunter Hospital, but she could not be revived.
The man has been taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station, where police say he will be charged with murder.
