Police have released vision showing the moment they found a 5-month-old baby boy in the back of a car that had been stolen from a Gold Coast home.
The vehicle was taken from the garage of a house in Moledinar just before 4.30pm on Thursday.
It’s understood the infant had just been strapped into his baby seat when the youngster’s mother rushed inside to grab another child as they prepared to head out for an early dinner.

That split second is all it took for an opportunistic thief to jump into the driver’s seat and speed off in the vehicle, with the baby still in the back seat.
Police launched an urgent search and public appeal, finding the vehicle 20km away about 45 minutes later with the infant safely inside.
A White Corolla getaway car also believed to have been involved has since been found abandoned at an industrial estate in Worongary.
The vehicle, which was also possibly stolen, has been seized as police continue to search for those responsible.
