At the launch of the awards today, Gold Coast International Women’s Day organiser Josephine Tobias told myGC it is a chance for Gold Coasters to recognize a female leader with commitment and dedication in her chosen field of expertise. “We are looking for women in the community to be nominated by their fellow colleagues, friends and family. In 2017 Kerri-Anne Kennerley will be joining us for the presentation of the awards, and with the experience she has faced in the last 9 months, we have decided to this year give a special award to a Gold Coast carer.”
The 2017 International Women’s Day Festival and Awards on March 8 2017 is set to be huge, with two events planned including a Youth Leadership Breakfast and the Celebration Luncheon. For more information, or to nominate a local woman for an award, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Amy Gilltrap on 0424 167 258.
