Visitors at Perth Zoo got a little more than what they were expecting on Sunday, when two orangutans escaped from their enclosure.
Videos posted to social media by shocked onlookers show mum Serkara jumping up onto a public railing in an attempt to retrieve her five-year-old son Sungai who had fallen into a garden bed.
“This is not supposed to happen,” a woman can be heard saying in the footage.
