More than 2000 poker players are expected to flock to The Star Gold Coast for the prestigious WPT DeepStacks tournament, which kicks off today.
With the prize pool tipped at an estimated $1.8 million, some big name stars are also set to take part including former cricketer Shane Warne, his son Jackson Warne, Australian Poker Hall of Fame inductee Gary Benson, and Melbourne’s Rob Campbell, to name a few.
“The (Gold Coast) is such a great place to come and visit anyway for a holiday, there’s so much to do here on the Gold Coast all the time, so to have the WPT here is fantastic,” Warne told myGC.
