One thrillseeker got more than she bargained for whilst riding a rollercoaster at Movie World over the weekend.
In a now-viral video posted to Facebook on Sunday night, a young girl named Paige can be seen riding the popular DC Rivals HyperCoaster at the Oxenford themepark alongside her Uncle Mitch.
The coaster has been dubbed the longest, fastest, and tallest hypercoaster in the Southern Hemisphere, however it doesn’t come with a bird warning – perhaps now it might.

Just a few seconds into the ride, the girl was hit in the face by a rogue ibis, leaving the youngster in complete shock.
A family member shared the shock encounter with friends on social media, revealing Paige managed to escape with a minor battle scar to tell the tale.
“She had feathers on her and a beak scratch on her right shoulder,” the post reads.
“She’s completely shocked, a little bruised but OK … Not sure about the bird? How can you not by that video.”
The vision has since gone viral, with more than 360 shares, almost 1000 comments and more than 83,000 views at the time of writing.
“Hilarious!!! Glad she is okay. That’s going to be an awesome memory. Not many people (if any) can say they’ve smacked head first into a bin chicken on a roller coaster,” one person commented.
“I’m in absolute tears of laughter,” wrote another.
