Russell Ingall will be putting pedal to the metal in a different type of vehicle at this week’s Gold Coast 600.
The former V8 Supercar Champion will be competing in the Boost Mobile Stadium Super Trucks race, which sees trucks weighing 1300kg hit ramps and fly through the air.
Ingall will be behind the wheel of The Boat Works’ Super Stadium Truck, backed by Australian racing driver Tony Longhurst.

“I have raced many different types of race cars in my career, but nothing compares to the thrill of the Stadium Super Trucks,” said Russell.
“It’s such a bonus for all the fans to be able to see these unique trucks back at the GC600 and even more exciting that the truck that I will be racing is supported by my long-term racing mate, Tony Longhurst,” he said.
The Boost Mobile Stadium Super Trucks will feature in dedicated Entertainment Sessions at the Gold Coast 600, including on Friday at 5:30pm – 5:50pm, Saturday at 12:15pm – 12:35pm and Sunday at 12:35pm – 12:55pm.
