Located right on the beach at Kurrawa, the gigantic sandcastle took three weeks and 24 tonnes of sand to create.
The incredible four-metre tall inn features two exclusive accommodation spaces for guests – an eight-bed dorm and one private double room – as well as a lounge bar and beach club area.
Watch the video below for a tour of the sand hostel:
Hostelworld’s Head of Acquisition Niall Walsh told myGC that although the accommodation was booked out, the hostel’s facilities are open to the public.
“Members of the public can come down and play beach games and we’ve got bars, food, live music and djs that everyone can enjoy,” he said.
