Dorsett Gold Coast General Manager Michael Foster told myGC they cannot wait to welcome guests and treat them to an incredible and memorable stay.

“Part of our arrival experience is to really surprise and delight our guests with random acts of kindness throughout the stay. One such way we might do that is by offering them a little treat on check-in,” he said.

Each of the 313 rooms have been designed with a twist of Gold Coast personality and flair to suit the modern traveller, and they all have breathtaking views, either of the coastline or the hinterland.

“A couple of great features about our rooms are our Dorsett bespoke mattresses – it’s honestly like sleeping on a cloud – and when you get to the bathroom, our amenities are all fully biodegradable,” he said.

Mr Foster told myGC they collaborated with a number of local artists, with special pieces featured throughout the hotel.

“Part of what we like to do at the Dorsett is to incorporate the local community into aspects of the hotel. One such way we have done this is with our amazing lobby chandelier, made by a local Currumbin artist. It has 173 individual LEDs that can all be programmed in a different motion,” he said.

“Our marble reception desks are also locally designed and made in Burleigh Heads. Each of our guest floors also has a completely unique piece of artwork for our guests to enjoy.”

As for his favourite part of the hotel, Mr Foster told myGC the Executive Lounge on Level 19 is a luxe space where guests can can enjoy the extra special treatment.

“Our executive lounge is a very exclusive space that gives our guests access to breakfast in the morning, a full buffet, and then drinks and canapes in the evening,” he said.
