WATCH: Snake catcher removes 6ft carpet python after it devoured Qld family’s pets
A snake catcher was called in to remove a six-foot carpet python this week after it slithered its way into a Queensland family’s ‘snake proofed’ Guinea pig cage and devoured the two occupants.
Noosa Snake Catcher Luke Huntley shared a video of his encounter with the reptile on his Facebook page on Wednesday.
“I was called out to a home in Noosaville this morning to relocate this 6ft Carpet python from inside their family pets cage,” Huntley wrote.
“It goes to show how small a gap they can squeeze through. It is very hard to fully snake proof something.”
However, Huntley said the highlight of his encounter with the python was when he [the snake] “did a massive wee and poo” on him.
“I probably deserved it ” he joked.
