Gold Coast audiences can expect to enjoy a “world-class show” when Jersey Boys hits the stage at The Star Gold Coast theatre on January 6, 2022.
The all-Queensland cast have been busy rehearsing the smash-hit musical, which tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
“We have a cast of 15, and a crew of 15 to 20. It’s all Queenslanders which is a real coup, because so often Queenslanders go away,” Director Thomas Armstrong – Robley told myGC.

Gold Coaster Bryn Jenke is taking on the leading role of Frankie Valli, and will be joined by some of the state’s top performers who usually reside overseas.
“The cast is made up of so many people that otherwise would be performing all over the world – London, the US, on cruise ships – and we have all come back,” he said.
“It’s a world-class cast and a world-class show that you are going to get to see on the Gold Coast, which I don’t think we’ve every seen before.”

Mr Armstrong – Robley, who will also play Tommy DeVito in the show, said while rehearsals only kicked off on Monday 13 December, the energetic and talented cast are on track for opening night.
“It’s an intense process. The whole show is now blocked and we are into the process of piecing it together, and cleaning it up,” he said.
Mr Jenke told myGC he is excited to see the show come together.
“This is such a big show. It’s probably one of the longest Broadway shows. We were able to piece the show together, with detailed scenes, in five days, which is just insanity when you think about it,” he said.
