WATCH: Sneak peek of Mamma Mia! at The Star Gold Coast

The highly anticipated and much-loved musical phenomenon, Mamma Mia!, officially opens at The Star Gold Coast this Thursday.

Presented by Matt Ward Entertainment, the show features an all star cast, including Hot Tomato’s Star Search winner Madeline Grice, as ‘Sophie Sheridan’, Jayde Westaby as ‘Donna Sheridan’, Lakota Johnson as ‘Sky’, as well as Hot Tomato’s breakfast announcer Emily Jade O’Keeffe as ‘Tanya’.

Producer Matt Ward told myGC said they are ready to welcome all the dancing queens of the Gold Coast to experience this modern take on Mamma Mia!.

“Mamma Mia is one of those heartfelt musicals that will get audiences feeling really good,” he said.

“I think the timing for this show is perfect. People are ready to get out, they are ready to go out and dance and sing and have a good time.

“When audiences come and see our production of Mamma Mia, they are going to see phenomenal singing, amazing acting, storytelling and a show that’s going to leave them feeling so great.”

Emily Jade O’Keeffe told myGC she was so thrilled to be asked to join the cast, and take on the character of ‘Tanya’.

“The whole experience has been amazing, from the beginning with Matt Ward asking me to be a part of it… through to now, being up on stage with the most beautiful seasoned actors that have been on Broadway and West End. The talent is enormous, and then there is me,” she said.

“The audience is in for such a beautiful show. Matt Ward and the director Tim Hill have modernised it, so it is set in the now.

“Even if you have seen Mamma Mia! before, this is definitely one to see again.”
