A SNEEZING passenger on a flight from Philadelphia to the Dominican Republic sparked panic throughout the cabin after shouting he had Ebola.
The North American man reportedly yelled, “I have Ebola” and “I’ve been to Africa,” while coughing and sneezing shortly before US Airways flight 845 landed at Punta Cana International Airport.
A concerned fellow passenger who overheard the remarks notified cabin crew who in turn notified the captain and ground authorities.

Once the plane touched down, it was isolated for almost two hours on the tarmac until authorities determined there was no risk to the 200-plus passengers and crew on board.
Mobile phone footage from inside the aircraft shows emergency personnel wearing bulky blue hazmat suits board the plane and escort the passenger from the jet and to the airport’s medical centre for tests as the rest of the plane watched on in shock.
It was later found the man had not been to Africa.
He was deported back to the US after he was cleared of the deadly disease.
