WATCH: Staff support breastfeeding mum abused by customer

It’s as natural as giving birth, but it seems there are still plenty of people who don’t want to see a mother breastfeeding her child.

A woman’s gained attention after she filmed a confrontation between an irate man, herself and supporters inside a Target store in the US.

Jesse Maher was one of the only people in the cafeteria of the department store when the verbal attack began.

Her video, which shows staff coming to her defence and escorting the man out of the store, has gone viral.

Ms Maher explains, the man asked for a refund after being ‘disgusted’ because she was breastfeeding her four-week-old daughter.

“I’m shaking,” she tells a female who comes to support her at the Connecticut store.

“You shouldn’t be ashamed of feeding your baby,” the woman tells her.

“This is a beautiful moment right now! If he doesn’t like it he can go,” the woman says.

The man then takes aim on the unidentified woman saying Ms Maher is being ‘disrespectful’ to him.

“Then don’t look!” he is told before being escorted from the area by two male staff members.
