Surf Life Saving Queensland’s best and brightest female lifesavers put their skills to the test at Sea World today as part of the final judging week of this year’s Summer Surf program.
For the past 12 months, this year’s 7 entrants, including 3 from the Gold Coast, have engaged with their local community, raised vital funds, and helped to spread the surf safety message.
Their efforts will culminate this week with a series of final judging tasks before the 2019 winner is announced at the program’s annual awards ceremony at The Star Gold Coast on Friday.

During their visit at Sea World today, the ambassadors were assessed on their ability to deliver community education around the principles of water safety to primary school students from a range of cultural backgrounds.

Now in its 55th year, the Summer Surf program has raised a staggering $16.7 million since it began in 1964.
