WATCH: Terrifying moment man threatens staff with knife at Qld shopping centre
A man who threatened two women with a knife after allegedly stealing a bunch of items from a popular footwear store at a major SE Qld shopping centre is on the run.
Police have released CCTV vision of the incident, which shows a young man casually walking into the store in Shailer Park before trying to make a getaway with stolen products through an emergency exit.
Two women who were working at the store ran after the man, however were threatened with a knife when they confronted him.
The man, described as Caucasian, approximately 20 years-of-age, 185cm tall, slim build and a tanned complexion, took off on a black motorised scooter.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The man was wearing a black under armour compression top, light khaki shorts, black socks, black Nike shoes and a black cap.
