WATCH: Terrifying moment masked intruders threaten Qld couple with gun before stealing prized Mustang

Police have released terrifying vision of the moment a Queensland couple were threatened by a pair of masked intruders armed with a firearm.

The incident occurred at a home in Northgate around 1.30am on Thursday, September 1.

Police said initial investigations suggest the frightening confrontation occurred when a female resident of the home woke up after hearing a noise outside.

“Initial inquires indicate shortly before 1.30am the resident of a house in Sapsford Street has woken when she heard a noise outside. She has opened the door and two men have threatened her with a firearm and entered the house,” police said in a statement.

“A male resident has woken and has also been threatened by the men. They demanded keys to the man’s vehicle and have stolen personal items from the house before leaving the house in the car, a 2016 Ford Mustang Queensland registration SAMMO.”

WATCH:

One of the men is described as solid build, 175cm tall with brown eyes.

The other man is about 160cm tall and of slim build.
