Chris Lilley has released the official trailer for his ten part series ‘Lunatics’, which was filmed here on the Gold Coast.
The Australian genius posted the Netflix trailer to his Facebook page this morning, and the response is nothing short of deserved.
After the success of ‘Summer Heights High’, ‘We Can Be Heroes’, and the beloved spin-offs that followed, we were just itching for the next big thing – and here it is: ‘Lunatics’.

The show’s description promises an insight into ‘six extraordinary individuals and explores the idea that people are not what they seem at first’.
Netflix viewers will be able to start streaming the series from Friday April 19.
Chris Lilley was on the Gold Coast last year filming, which reportedly brought $6.35 million to our local economy.
It was all part of the Queensland Government’s $50 million Production attraction strategy, which also attracted major film and television productions including Thor: Ragnarok, Aquaman, Tidelands and Harrow.
Today, all our questions have been answered – with the official trailer revealed.
