TWO men have been charged after police raided two homes as part of a major operation targeting serious drug offences on the northern Gold Coast.
Detectives from the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant at a property on Yarrayne Road in Nerang around 9.30am this morning, where they allegedly located approximately $264,000 in cash, 14.5 kilograms of cannabis, two BB guns and fireworks.
A 30-year-old Nerang man was arrested at the scene.

He has now been charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime, possessing weapons and possessing explosives (fireworks).
A few hours later, officers executed a second search warrant at an address on Bourton Road in Merrimac.
During the raid, they allegedly located an operational hydroponic laboratory containing approximately 90 cannabis plants and a further 1 kilogram of cannabis.
A 31-year-old Merrimac man was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with one count each of; producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime and possessing utensils.
