“Kiwanda is Swahili for ‘factory’ and we have always had a café in proximity to our head offices, but we’ve been able to take it a whole step further this time around,” he said.
Kiwanda features a signature fireplace and vaulted, exposed ceilings that take in views of the Zarraffa’s Coffee Roastery through the 4-metre-high glass windows.
A Roastery Tour experience is set to open next month, with Mr Campbell telling myGC it has been designed to educate and inform visitors about the Zarraffa’s Coffee bean-to-cup journey.
“Our Tour experience invites visitors to explore and understand the entire coffee journey, from crop to cup. It speaks to our relationships with coffee growing communities across the world, and just what it takes to produce the ‘liquid gold’ we have come to enjoy every day,” he said.

Mr Campbell also announced the remaining space at the headquarters will be transformed into a food market, due to open in late 2020 or early 2021.
Distillery Road Market is inspired by New York’s Chelsea Market and London’s Borough Market, and will be a fresh produce, dining and entertainment destination.
“Distillery Road Market actually brings together all the things I enjoy most in life – a wide variety of great food and beverage options, curated shopping experiences and a knock-out environment to sit back, relax and take it all in,” he said.
Opportunities for retailers, food vendors and marketeers are now being tendered through Colliers International with over 4,500 sqm of lettable area on offer.
