West Coast to face Collingwood in the AFL Grand Final

The Eagles have stamped out any concerns about their standing in the game, flogging Melbourne by 66 points in their AFL preliminary final.

Playing on their home turf, in front of 59,608 fans, West Coast kept the Demons goalless in the first half.

Their coach Adam Simpson won’t be drawn into a false sense of security after the huge win.

“When there’s a lot on the line, stakes have changed, conditions change, personnel changes – what doesn’t change is the way each teams plays,” he said.

“We know what Collingwood are going to bring and they know what we’re going to bring.”

There are some injury concerns in the West Coast sheds with gun defender Jeremy McGovern requiring medical treatment after the win.

He’ll likely shape up against Collingwood’s American all-star Mason Cox.

Cox starred during the Pies demolition of Richmond on Friday night and the match up with McGovern has fans licking their lips.
