Wet weather is causing chaos for motorists on the Gold Coast this afternoon, with long delays being experienced across the city.
The Pacific Motorway is bumper to bumper southbound all the way from Eight Mile Plains to Pimpama.
There’s a slight reprieve before traffic banks up again from Coomera through to Nerang.

It’s also pretty heavy northbound from Merrimac to Gaven and again through Ormeau following a single-vehicle crash near Exit 41.
One person was treated at the scene by paramedics and has since been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Motorists travelling westbound on Smtih Street are also being warned to brace for lengthy delays, with similar delays being experienced on Brisbane Road.
