Wet weather on the way for the Gold Coast
IT may be a beautiful morning on the Gold Coast at the moment but locals are being warned there is wet weather on the way.
The Bureau of Meteorology says it should be a mostly sunny day today although there is a 40% chance of showers late this afternoon and evening as well as a possible thunderstorm.
Winds will be northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h turning northerly 15 to 25 km/h in the evening.
It will be a warm one too with temperatures expected to top 28 degrees.
The BOM warns a wet change is on the way with a high chance of showers and possibly severe thunderstorms expected.

The official forecast says Thursday will be a cloudy day with an 80% chance of showers, most likely in the morning and afternoon. The chance of a thunderstorm.
Winds northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h becoming light in the evening then becoming southerly 20 to 30 km/h in the late evening.
Top temperatures heading to 25 degrees.
