A new booklet from the Tweed Shire Council will help you understand what plants will best suit your garden, and how to deal with invasive species.
The My Local Native Garden booklet is based on a similar publication by the Brunswick Valley Landcare and includes information on basic garden design, planning and planting, attracting wildlife to gardens and dealing with invasive species of flora and fauna.
It also divides Tweed Shire into broad geological landscapes to help locals select the most suitable plants for their block of land.
