Where to watch New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Gold Coast 2015

Love watching fireworks on New Year’s Eve?

The Gold Coast is one of the best places to welcome the new year, with a number of suburbs set to light up the sky with colourful firework displays.

Families can choose to enjoy one of the many early bird fireworks on the beach, foreshores and parks, while party animals can check out one of the many midnight displays.

Which one will you be at?

Broadbeach
Where: Kurrawa Park
Time: Fireworks at 8:30pm and 12pm
Why: Get there early to claim a picnic spot near the stage and soak up the atmosphere, or grab something to eat at one of many restaurants in precinct before the fireworks. First Summer Band will be performing at the Broadbeach mall stage from 8pm til 12.30pm.

Broadwater Parklands
Where: Great Lawn
Time: Fireworks at 9pm
Why: Pull up a patch of grass at the Broadwater Parklands. Grab a bite at the Food Truck Feasand enjoy some great local entertainers while you sit back and relax before a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm.

Coomera
Where: Viney Park, Cnr of Dreamworld Parkway and Yaun Street
Time: Fireworks at 9pm
Why: Enjoy some free family fun before the 9pm fireworks with live entertainment, rides and attractions on offer from 5pm. Plus there will be food and beverage stalls open on the night too.

North Kirra Surf Club
Where: Pacific Parade, Bilinga
Time: Fireworks at 7:30pm
Why: This is a great Family friendly event for southern Gold Coasters, with a BBQ and jumping castle on offer from 5pm.

Ormeau
Where: Brien Harris Oval, Orange Mountain Road, Ormeau
Time: Fireworks at 9pm
Why: Northern Gold Coasters can enjoy entertainment, carnival rides, face painting, food and beverages from 5pm before fireworks light up the night at 9pm.

Paradise Point
Where: Paradise Point Parklands
Time: Fireworks at 9pm
Why: Enjoy an unforgettable party atmosphere before the fireworks with live bands, singers, dancers, clowns, stilt walkers and fire eaters from 5pm. At 9pm the sky will light up with a fireworks display that includes the latest in technology and effects not seen on the GC before.

Robina
Where: The Promenade at Robina Town Centre
Time: Fireworks at 9pm
Why: Reserve a table one of the shopping centre’s lakeside restaurants and let the kids loose in the playground in the lead up to a fireworks display at 9pm.

Surfers Paradise
Where: Surfers Paradise foreshore
Time: Fireworks at 8pm and midnight
Why: With one of the largest fireworks displays in Queensland, Surfers Paradise is the place to ring in the new year. Head in early and enjoy plenty family fun on the foreshore. If you have kids, you can enjoy early viewing at 8pm. There will then be a riverside fireworks display at 10pm followed by a spectacular display on the beach again at midnight.
