A few Cooly Rocks On events have been cancelled due to the extreme weather hitting the Gold Coast.
Organisers have confirmed, the Sneak Peek Show’n’Shine, retro markets and Old Mal Surf Championships won’t go ahead as planned on Saturday.
Festival Manager Phil Villiers says considering the bad weather the major infrastructure already in place for the event has held up well.

“There has been some minor damage to the entry of the Cooly Rocks On marquee and some of today’s scheduled events in the marquee may be relocated to alternative venues in town,” Mr Villiers said.
“The Old Mal Surfing Competition this morning at Greenmount has obviously been cancelled due to the wild surf that’s rolling in right across the Coast today.
“We are hoping the sun shines tomorrow and we can hold the Sneak Peek Show’n’Shine in Marine Parade.”
