Gold Coasters are being warned to brace for more storms today, after a wild night of activity across the city.
A large band of storms moved across the south-east last night, bringing heavy falls, strong winds, lightning and even hail to some parts.
Currumbin Creek saw the highest rainfalls, recording 51 millimetres overnight.

While around 1,200 homes were left without power at the height of the activity.
The Bureau is warning we could see more rain and storms around today, with up to 25 millimetres of rain expected around the city.
There’s also the chance of thunderstorms during the morning and afternoon.
The rain is set to continue into tomorrow, before clearing off a bit on Friday and returning for the weekend.
