An adventurous wood duck is recovering at the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital after he was found stuck in a car grill.
Veterinarian Andrew Hill told myGC Captain Risky was found in a vehicle that had travelled from Sydney all the way to the Gold Coast.
“We are not quite sure where he started his journey, but he wasn’t discovered until the car stopped here on the Gold Coast,” he said.

Mr Hill told myGC Captain Risky will remain under observation at the hospital for a few days.
“He will spend time with some other wood ducks we have in care before we find a suitable release site for him.”
