Wildlife Wednesday: Elle the echidna
Elle the echidna is one of Currumbin Wildlife Hospital’s long-term patients.
Elle suffered a broken beak after she was involved in a road accident but has had a few other infections during her recovery.
“Echidna’s don’t do well in captivity, they like to be out there in the wild. In captivity they stress and then pick up other things that have to be treated,” Head Vet Michael Pyne told myGC.
