Wildlife Wednesday: Gabby the green tree snake

Gabby the green tree snake is recovering in the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital after receiving a number of stitches for a nasty wound.

While treating the stunning lime-coloured reptile, head Vet Michael Pyne discovered Gabby was also carrying eggs.

“She suffered a real nasty injury and she also had a couple of eggs inside which she has since laid,” he told myGC. “She needs to hang out with us for probably another month or so as we are concerned she might not be able to shed her skin properly.”
