Maximus the Koala is a newly admitted patient to the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, after he was hit by car outside Lismore over the weekend.
The furry native animal suffered extensive injuries in the accident including nerve damage to his left arm and a ruptured left eye.
“Maximus is going to be a long term-patient of ours,” Head Vet Micheal Pyne told myGC. “It is going to take him months to come right.”
