Winner of $80M Lotto jackpot revealed as group of gym members

The winner of last night’s massive $80 million Powerball jackpot has been revealed as a syndicate of female gym members in Western Australia.

The group of 55 women, reportedly from the Curves gym in Beldon, all chipped in $5 each for the ticket and are now all $1.5 million richer after the life-changing win.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said the lucky ticket was the only division one winning entry across the entire country.

However, he urged anyone who bought a ticket into last night’s draw to still check it, with more than $45.14 million won in other divisions.

“You may not have been the one that won division one tonight, but there was a total of 2.5 million prizes won in divisions two to nine in tonight’s draw,” Mr Hart said.

“Among those winners were 14 division two winners, who each take home a prize worth $89,207.70”.

The $80 million jackpot was the equal biggest prize won from any Australian lottery game so far this year.

The winning numbers were 27, 30, 4, 5, 33, 26 and 19 and the all-important Powerball number was 8.
