Strong winds will increase the wind chill factor, making it feel a lot colder then the temperature shown on your thermometers.

A strong wind warning is in place, with westerly winds up to 40k/m forecast.

Temperatures will plummet as the sun sets, forecast to get down to just 7 degrees in Coomera and Nerang, 9 degrees in Surfers, and 10 in Coolangatta and Robina.

Similar conditions are forecast during and overnight on Sunday.
