Witnesses urged to come forward as missing woman’s car found

Concerns are growing for the welfare of a Sydney woman, who disappeared three days ago and has not made contact with her family.

Police say Qi Yu (pictured) communicated with family in China about 7.15pm on Friday 8 June, but she has not been heard from since.

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command launched an investigation to locate the 28-year-old and are appealing for the community’s help.

Homicide Squad detectives have also joined the investigation and it’s been confirmed, Qi’s white 2016 model Toyota Corolla (similar to the one pictured below) has been found.

It was located in Lindsay Street in Burwood, about 8.30pm on Saturday. It has NSW registration plates DLK-13P.
