A YOUNG woman has been charged after she was allegedly caught behind the wheel of a Mazda 3 travelling at almost 160km/h in a 100 zone in NSW.
Officers clocked the Mazda tearing down the New England Highway at Belford at 158km/h around 9.15pm on Thursday.
They intercepted the car and spoke to the 22-year-old female driver. She was later found to be driving on a disqualified licence.

Police said it’s the second time the woman has been caught driving while disqualified.
She was service an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h and she was charged with driving whilst disqualified (2nd offence).
The 22-year-old is due to appear in Singleton Local Court later this month.
