Woman, 49, allegedly held captive, assaulted and raped at farmhouse

A MAN will front court today, charged with raping a woman while allegedly holding her captive on a farm in Victoria.

The horrific assault allegedly took place on a rural property at Nar Nar Goon, southeast of Melbourne, last month.

The man, 36, is accused of holding the 49-year-old woman captive and assaulting and raping her on October 29.

The accused handed himself into Dandenong Police Station yesterday where he was arrested.

He was charged overnight with raping the woman, intentionally causing her serious injury and false imprisonment.

The 36-year-old was remanded in custody to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

A second 32-year-old man from Pakenham was arrested at his home on Thursday morning.

He has since been released, pending further inquiries.
