Woman, 63, kicked to the ground and robbed outside senior citizens club

A 63-YEAR-OLD woman has been kicked to the ground and robbed by two heartless thugs outside her local senior citizens club at Hervey Bay.

Police said the woman was leaving the Totness Street club at Torquay around 7pm on Tuesday when she was bailed up by two men in the car park.

One of the man allegedly kicked the woman in the chest, causing her to fall to the ground, before the pair stole cash from her wallet and ran off with her car keys.

The 63-year-old woman was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital with minor injuries.

Police are still searching for the two men, who were last seen running out of the car park and heading west down Totness Street.

One of the men is described as being Caucasian in appearance and 185cm tall with an athletic build and short brown hair.

The other is described as being about 170cm tall with a stocky build and a buzz cut style haircut.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the men or any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident to contact Policelink on 131 444.
