A 63-year-old woman has been shoved to the ground and robbed by a callous thief in a shocking roadside attack at Campsie, in Sydney’s south-west.
Police say the woman was walking along the southern kerb of Clissold Parade at around 1am on Saturday when she noticed a white car started following her.

The vehicle allegedly stopped at the intersection of Shakespeare Street before a man jumped out of the passenger side and started walking behind the woman.
Police say the man followed her on foot for ‘a short distance’ before launching his attack.
It’s alleged he pushed the woman to the ground and stole her handbag before getting back into the vehicle and driving away.
The woman suffered cuts to her knees, and bruising to the back of her head, however didn’t require treatment.
Her attacker is described as being about 170cm tall, and possibly of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance.
The vehicle was last seen heading down Burns Street, towards Brighton Avenue.
