Woman, 83, bashed, sexually assaulted in violent break-in

AN 83-YEAR-OLD woman has been taken to hospital after being bashed and sexually assaulted by an intruder who broke into her western Sydney home.

Emergency services were called to the elderly woman’s Willoring Crescent home at Jamisontown about 6.15pm on Wednesday after she was found injured.

The woman was assessed by paramedics before being taken to the Nepean Hospital for treatment.


Police have been told an intruder broke into the woman’s home and physically and sexually assaulted her sometime between 4pm on Tuesday and 6pm yesterday.

Detectives have set up a dedicated strike force, codenamed Dyte to investigate the violent incident.

They are urging any witnesses or anyone with information that could assist with their investigation to come forward and call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The elderly woman’s attacker has not bee described.
