A MAN has been arrested, charged and refused bail after allegedly breaking into a retirement home in the middle of the night in Central West NSW and sexually assaulting an 85-year-old woman while she slept.
The elderly resident told police she was asleep in her Blayney unit when she was woken by the 41-year-old man touching her about 11.40pm on Monday.
Police said the woman confronted the man, who she said was “committing an act of indecency”.

The man left the room and the woman escorted him out of the unit, police said.
Terrified, the elderly woman called police after the man proceeded to peep through her bedroom window.
Following inquiries, the woman’s alleged attacker was arrested at a home in Cowra on Tuesday.
The 41-year-old was taken to Cowra Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break & enter and commit serious indictable offence, sexually touch another person without consent.
He was also charged with break & enter house and steal, receive property – theft, possess prohibited drug, and possess unregistered firearm relating to a separate break-in in Blayney on Monday night.
The man was refused bail in Bathurst Local Court on Wednesday, where he is due to appear again on April 8.
