Woman accused of attacking man with wine glass in Gold Coast home

A WOMAN has been arrested and charged after she allegedly slashed a man’s arm open with a broken wine glass during a domestic disturbance at a house on the Gold Coast.

Police were called to the Carnarvon Street home at Oxenford around 8.30pm on Tuesday night following reports of a man and woman fighting.

They arrived to find a 22-year-old man bleeding heavily from a deep laceration to his arm. Police allege he was attacked with a wine glass.


Police said he received medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

A 20-year-old woman was arrested and since been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence offence).

She is due to appear in Southport Magistrate Court on Friday, October 14.
