NSW woman accused of drink driving with 3 kids in the car

A woman will face court, accused of driving drunk with three children in the back seat in Sydney.

Officers from Green Valley Local Area Command stopped a car southbound on Cowpasture Road, West Hoxton about 5.40pm on Monday.

A 37-year-old was behind the wheel with an 8-month old baby, and two children aged three and six in the back seat. Police say the three-year-old wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

The driver blew over the limit during a roadside breath test.

She was arrested and taken to Green Valley Police Station where she allegedly returned a reading of 0.159, which is in the high-range category.

Further inquiries revealed the registration of the vehicle she was driving had expired.

The woman was charged with high-range PCA, drive unregistered motor vehicle, use uninsured vehicle and drive with child unrestrained.

The woman was given conditional bail and will appear in Liverpool Local Court on Thursday June 30, 2016.  Her licence was suspended.
